Hoping to coax out some spring weather with some Lily Pulitzer-inspired colors today. I’m so sick of winter, I can’t stand it.
Fireworks From the Freeway
21 MarI must have been in a patriotic mood today, hence the red, white and blue theme of this mandala. I’m one of those people who tries to avoid wearing anything remotely resembling a flag on the 4th of July. I’ve always thought our flag is a little tacky and flamboyant, but what else would you expect? Give me a Union Jack any day.
With Hopes of Starting Over
20 MarToday starts a brand new Project 365 cycle. If you’ll recall, Year One was spent simply taking and posting a photo every day, typically related to what was going on in my life. Year Two, most recently completed, chronicled 365 consecutive outfits and my changing wardrobe. This year we embark on an all-new adventure, one that is near and dear to my heart.
Year Three is the year of the mandala. If you’ve never heard of mandalas before, you can find an explanation here. In art therapy, they’re used as a safe space in which to draw or create anything. It’s a nonthreatening way to introduce clients to the idea of a safe and open space. Mandalas have a very special power; I’ve long been drawn to them, although not quite sure why. In this project, I will make one mandala every day for a year. Some will be computer-generated, some will be printed and colored, and many will be personal drawings. I’m very excited to share this project with you.
Let’s get started with a simple, colorful mandala, one that I found online and colored in myself.

30 Days in the Hole
19 MarCan you believe it? I did it! I completed my 30 For 30 challenge with flying colors. And not to mention, it’s the end of my 365 year, as well. That means I’ve posted an entire year’s worth of outfits. It’s been a great year, and a fun project. I liked having the twist of the 30 For 30 at the end. It was something new and different to get me through the last month of this.
I already know what I’m going to do for the coming year - it’s not outfits anymore, sorry. Although I will miss that terribly. I have learned so much about fashion bloggers in the past year – it’s amazing the people who are out there, who are far better at this than me. It was fun, but now it’s time for something different. Stay tuned…
And now, the final outfit.

Episode 29
18 MarWhat is this? A day that it is warm enough to go without tights? Surely you jest, weather. I’ll not complain though. Instead, I’ll just go bare under my boots so I don’t sweat to death. Also, you should know that this is only the second time my glasses have made an appearance on this blog. It is due to my eye infection that is in no way fun.

16 MarI’m feeling kind of 80′s today, in the sense that I’m wearing a belt straight up over a sweater. I think I might be running out of creativity here at the end. I’m also on somewhat of a skirt kick, as you’ll see in my remaining outfits that are already planned out. It took several tries to get a halfway decent picture today, but I still ended up doing something silly with my hands.

15 MarI like to think of this week of March as “holiday week.” Not that they’re actually all observed holidays, but they’re still fun. Yesterday was Pi Day. Thursday is St. Patrick’s Day. Today is the Ides of March. What are you wary of today? I’m not wary of anything I’m wearing today, thank goodness. I’m wearing the softest button-down shirt in the world underneath a comfortable, easy shirt. If there was anything in my 30 For 30 I could have switched out, it would have been this shirt. It’s nice and I like it, but it’s harder to dress up than most other things. At least I’ve been challenged in that way.

14 MarHappy Pi Day! I’m not doing anything especially to celebrate today. I am wearing three different shades of blue, though. Not quite sure how I feel about that. My yellow tights might have looked better, but I wanted to do something different than that today. Live and learn – that’s life.
